Amelia Borg is an internationally experienced architect. She brings a deep knowledge of complex design and construction to Sibling overseeing key civic projects for government and cultural organisations. She has led many of Sibling's education projects including the VSBA Award winning Surfside Primary School and recently completed Wangaratta District Specialist School.
Amelia enjoys pushing projects beyond their pragmatic briefs by forecasting trends that will affect society. She strengthened these design research skills in her previous role as research editor at Archis/Volume in Amsterdam.
Her interest in research continues with her investigations of how to transform the business of architecture, and completed an MBA at the Melbourne Business School, supported by the inaugural Steve Ashton Scholarship for the Architectural Profession. Amelia has also led design studios at RMIT, Monash and The University of Melbourne and is a regularly invited guest speaker at conferences and panels.

Nicholas Braun relishes complex projects from the adaptive reuse of existing buildings to the design of public realms of dense inner-city sites in order to transform these complicated projects into something that looks and feels effortless.

This stems from his expertise that spans across the disciplines of architecture and landscape architecture, which gives him a deep understanding of how to integrate biological, mechanical and social systems within the production of architecture.

Having worked across both disciplines in Melbourne and Sydney his projects bring a strong sense of this fusion, as can be evidenced in projects like Gertrude Glasshouse and Hello Houses which dissolve the boundaries of the local context and the private internal spaces to create new and dynamic social landscapes for people to enjoy.

Nicholas is committed to teaching in higher education, which advances his own learning; he is involved in teaching design and construction at Monash University and The University of Melbourne. Further to this Nicholas has served as a juror for the AIA Victorian Chapter Architecture awards and been a mentor for the AIA Constructive Mentoring Program.

Qianyi Lim leads Sibling Architecture’s office in Eora Country, Sydney.

She works across all scales of projects and problem-solving from exhibition design to large-scale civic buildings in urban and regional contexts. Qianyi has a real interest in
civic architecture where the design offers up space to the city through a series of spatial strategies. Qianyi’s attention to the future of Australia’s cities and regions has seen her speak at cultural festivals and institutions across Australia, including the Sherman Centre for Cultural Ideas, National Gallery of Art and Australian Centre for Contemporary Art.

Prior to Sibling, Qianyi worked across Europe and China, as well as for local practices in Melbourne. Her drive to understand and produce an architecture in a global context was furthered by her experience on the Dulux Study Tour for emerging architectural talent in 2016.

Qianyi is also an architectural educator and critic, where she is an Associate Professor of Practice (Architecture) at the University of Sydney, a panel member on the NSW State Design Review Panel and has been a juror at the NSW Australian Institute of Architects Awards.
In 2022, Qianyi was the recipient of the NSW AIA Emerging Architect Prize, recognizing her contribution to the wider profession and innovative approach to practice.

Timothy Moore oversees Sibling’s design-research practice. He has been involved in the conceptualisation of Sibling’s exhibitions at the National Gallery of Victoria, Istanbul Design Biennial, Gyeonggi MoMA, Seoul National University, and assist with foresight, strategic design, architectural briefs and works for leading commercial and cultural institutions and organisations, including Creative Victoria, FJM Property, City of Melbourne and VICE. Timothy has been pivotal in the materialisation of the exhibition New Agency: Owning your housing future, which is a long-term project by Sibling that examines the futures of dwelling through the lens of an ageing population.

This broad approach to understanding the potential of architecture has been underpinned by Timothy’s roles working as an editor for influential architectural publications Volume, Architecture Australia and Future West (Australian Urbanism), and as part of the curatorial team of Melbourne Design Week (2017-2019). Timothy is widely published in architectural magazines, journals and books, and speaks widely at events and in the media. He is a lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Monash University.

Lauren is an accomplished architect bringing strong experience in large-scale projects from Melbourne’s leading architectural practices.

Lauren takes a key role on Sibling's education and community projects including the award winning Surfside Primary School for the Victorian School Board Authority. Through her work at Sibling, Lauren demonstrates that architecture is not just about buildings, but a profession that creatively organises and gives form to space. This expanded approach to architecture is reflected in her extra-curricular activities as editor for architecture journal Caliper and design studio leader at RMIT University.

Alice Edmonds is a registered architect and brings to Sibling diverse professional and academic experiences. From the delivery of high-end residential projects, to leading design competitions, she believes that collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches can lead to better designed outcomes.

Alice has a keen interest in analysing and understanding the idiosyncratic ways in which we live, work and play and seeks to emphasise inclusive, people-centred design in her work. This is demonstrated in her role as project architect for Tatura Smart Farm – an agricultural research, exhibition and co working facility that brings together scientists, academics and other stakeholders from the public and private sector.

Eleanor has diverse experience having worked in architecture studios in Sydney, Tokyo and Rotterdam across education, housing and cultural sectors. She takes a leading role in Sibling's key public projects in NSW including the Bega Valley Regional Gallery.

Eleanor also pursues design research exporing the relationship between living systems and artificial structures and their critical role in future imaginaries. In 2020, she was a researcher at the Terraforming education program at Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design in Moscow, and is a recipient of the Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship 2018 and the Marten Bequest for young Australian artists in 2020.

Arjuna joined Sibling in 2021 and is working across commercial and public projects. He has an interest in the city and engaging with it across all scales and typologies, this has developed through his experience on large scale infrastructure work, through to the small scale of object and furniture making. Arjuna's interest in city making is further explored through his role as an architectural design tutor at RMIT and the Melbourne School of Design.

Nikita joined Sibling in 2022 as a Project Architect.
Among various project types, Nikita has deep roots established in complex residential and civic projects spanning several scales. From delivering large new spaces, to ‘tight & right’ interventions, Nikita relishes working closely with her clients and the project team.
Nikita enjoys the intimate details within architectural projects, finding joy in the one-to-one nature of the things we contribute to the built environment.

Nikita graduated her Masters of Architecture with a distinction from RMIT, and is Lead Curator and Secretary of New Architects Melbourne (NAM). Being a freelance writer, she has contributed frequently to several art and design platforms such as Parlour, Reading Architecture and The Design Writer, and is an Associate Contributor to Architect Victoria.

Michael is a an architect with extensive commercial and public experience who enjoys developing projects with strong relationships to the city around them. He has worked in social housing, healthcare, public, heritage and commercial fields, often in difficult sites and with complicated briefs. 

Michael is adept at coordinating highly technical streams of work, looking to distill simple solutions from unruly situations. This is also the approach he takes into design where he values clarity of thought and expression.

Michael is a skilled designer and all-rounder who is comfortable with scale, takes pride in being thorough, and has an appreciation of complexity. He is a studio leader at RMIT, teaching a perennial studio on urban design.

Tope joined Sibling in 2021, bringing practice experience that is diverse in scale and typology. He is currently working on public projects where his confident design skills and technical abilities in visualisation are highly valued.
Prior to Sibling, Tope has collaborated with artists on temporal spatial installations and pavilions; on another scale he has also worked on large infrastructure and health projects.
Tope is also a keen photographer and musician and is active in engaging the public with design and architecture. He is currently the curator for a monthly speaker series PROCESS and has been a sessional design tutor at the Melbourne School of Design.

Simone brings extensive experience to her practice, with a professional background spanning large civic buildings such as theatres, galleries, as well as projects in education and social housing. She is particularly interested in the broader picture of things, examining how public space can enrich cultural and social dynamics through a range of different scales.

Having recently graduated with a distinction from RMIT University and receiving the Anne Butler Memorial Medal, Simone is particularly passionate about the role of architecture in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Her design ethos centres on the intersection between architecture and other multidisciplinary design realms, which has been explored previously at the Architecture Association in London, through writing and editing for independent student-led publication Caliper Magazine, and guest critiquing for various RMIT University design studios.

Hannah completed her Bachelors of Architecture at RMIT. She is interested in the holistic relationship between architecture and the environment and has since undertaken other courses in agriculture, building construction and permaculture design to investigate the role of architecture within climate and nature.

Hannah values interdisciplinary conversations that interrogate how design and construction can contribute positively and regeneratively to our society. Her experiences studying abroad in Europe has laid the foundation for her interest in how architecture shapes environments for cultural and social diversity.
