Appin Park Sports Court

The Appin Park Primary School sport courts are a vibrant and playful addition to the school’s campus and its broader community. The courts have been designed with the school to encourage movement, play, and social connection.
At the heart of the design is the use of bold colour zoning, which has been devised to accommodate a range of different competition-grade sport events. The active ground of the court folds up to create privacy screening from classrooms and neighbouring properties. These vertical surfaces - clad with panels made of recycled plastic waste- also act as hard walls for ball sports and tennis practice. The layout supports a variety of sports and activities, ensuring inclusivity and adaptability for both structured games and casual recreation. Beyond their functional purpose, the courts bring an uplifting energy to the school grounds, providing a space that fosters joy, interaction, and well-being.
